Unsuspecting Sylvester Stallone Explosively Shows Up Country Star And Wife

Rocky Wiki (Left)/(Right) George Walker IV, The Tennessean

Eric Church has made quite the name for himself since producing his first #1 singles, “Drink In my Hand” and “Springsteen”, released on his 2011 album titled Chief. The country singer has since released a variety of chart topping hits, including his refreshing duet with country music star Keith Urban, “Raise ‘Em Up”.

The singer, seeing that his success has no doubt paid out handsomely, was strolling through New York with his blonde bombshell wife, Katherine Blasingame, when he ultimately decided he and his wife would look exceptionally lavished sporting new Rolex watches. Church told Rolling Stone about his hopes of impressing the employees with such a substantial purchase. However, the “Homeboy” singer was in for a rude awakening. Church explains,

“I always remember the gold watch my grandfather got when he retired from the police force. A few years ago, my wife and I were in New York, and I thought, ‘I’m-a buy us each a Rolex.’ It turns out Sylvester Stallone had just come in the store with his staff to celebrate the last Rocky movie. So I’m thinking I’m gonna walk in and impress them by buying two Rolexes, and they go, ‘Yeah, we just sold 16 to Sylvester Stallone.’ I thought, ‘Well, shit, there goes that.’

The Rocky Balboa star had unknowingly brought Church back to humble ground by previously purchasing a whopping 14 more watches, most likely giving the store employees a good laugh at the power statement attempt. You’re still a champion in our eyes, Church!

However, this cowboy definitely doesn’t need a couple Rolexes to prove that he’s had a “Record Year”.
