Darci Lynne Farmer made history as one of the three youngest contestants to ever be named champion on NBC’s hit competition series, America’s Got Talent.

From earning the coveted “Golden Buzzer” from judge Mel B with her unreal singing ventriloquism routine, it was clear Darci Lynne was destined to be a star. Following a string of seemingly impossibly routines and over 52 million votes cast, the young singing ventriloquist was named the Season 12 winner over her fellow contestants.

While she can sing better than most seasoned professionals with her mouth closed, many fans of the teenager were left wondering what her voice sounds like without the puppets. Singing the National Anthem at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City in October of 2017, Darci Lynne debuted her actual singing voice, and as expected, it’s absolutely stunning.

Taking the spotlight for one of the first times without any of her adorable puppets by her side, Darci Lynne approached the performance with confidence before delivering a powerful rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Learning the art of ventriloquism when she was only 10 years old, the sky is the limit for the talented 13-year-old.
