Vince Gill’s Daughter Jenny Releases First Ever Music Video Featuring Son

Rolling Stone

Vince Gill sure has a lot to be proud of. Jenny Gill, the 34-year-old daughter to the country singer, released her first ever music video for her sunny song, “Lonely Lost Me.”

The singer-songwriter stepped out of her father’s shadow with the release of her latest project, The House Sessions. Jenny’s music style is of the easygoing variety with a jazzy upbeat sound. The video for “Lonely Lost Me” features the young singer enjoying time outdoors with her son Wyatt while singing amidst the bright sun beaming down on both of them. The video ends with a dedication reading, “For Wyatt.”

The final motivation to actually get my music out there definitely came from my son,” Gill shared with Rolling Stone. “The pride I feel for my parents, I want Wyatt to feel that way about me.” While Gill continues to navigate the waters that come along with her famous name, she’s becoming more content to let her music do the talking. “Being ‪the offspring of someone famous is just my story, it isn’t who I am. My songs will tell you who I am.”

Jenny Gill married husband Josh Van Valkenburg back in May of 2010 and the two currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee with their son. Valkenburg is the director of A&R at EMI Music Publishing and also acts as the drummer in Jenny’s band.
