Vince Gill Gives Emotional Performance In Heartbreaking Music Video

Legendary country artist Vince Gill, selling over 26 millions albums and successfully securing 18 CMA Awards, was a prominent country music artist in the 90s. Iconically known for his solo career, Gill initially began his music endeavors as a band member of the group Pure Prairie League. Gill’s musical talent in both vocal and instrumental aspects was very identifiable, essentially sealing his rise to success.

Throughout his lavished career, Gill was given the opportunity at iconic melodies, such as heart-wrenching “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Look At Us”. However, despite his endless list of classics, it seems that his song “I Still Believe In You” continues to remain an emotionally driven, timeless favorite.

In the incredibly well done, yet simple, music video, Gill is seen giving a very intimate, almost candid performance of this ballad, as if speaking directly to his heartbroken viewers. Gill sings,

“Everybody wants a little piece of my time
But still I put you at the end of the line
How it breaks my heart to cause you this pain
To see the tears you cry fallin’ like rain.”

Gill continues to desperately plea with whom the delicate words are spoken to, singing,

“Give me the chance to prove
That nothing’s worth losing you.”

The song, resembling an apology to a lover that Gill admits he has neglected and is desperately in fear of losing, resonates with listeners. Although a timeless song, it also requires a timeless audience to appreciate the deep message that Gill is attempting to convey.
