‘Voice’ Finalist Billy Gilman Releases Chilling Song That Bleeds Devotion
on Dec 13, 2016
Contestant Billy Gilman has earned his coveted finalist position on the competition show The Voice, competing alongside talented vocalists Wé McDonald and Sundance Head. Gilman has continued to return to the show strong with an arsenal of impressive vocal capabilities and an endless array of flirtatious smiles.
Contestants were recently given the opportunity to produce an original music video for a song that was gifted directly to each individual, allowing finalists to be creative and truly attempt to snag their fans by the heart. Gilman performed a song titled “Because Of Me”, a heartwarming ballad directed to a significant other he loves as he pleas with them to be the only reason for any emotion they feel. He sings, “I don’t want you to smile or shed a tear / Ever hear you say ‘love’ unless it’s in my ear/ I don’t want you to dance or have your heart miss a beat / I don’t want you to feel unless it’s because of me.”
The video is shot in a quaint apartment complete with very natural decor and the adorable factor of a playful pup that is anything but unnoticeable! Gilman’s locations vary from the interior apartment setting to the rooftop of a building, increasing his passionate delivery as his lyrics further into the song. The singer’s emotion is not only apparent throughout his performance, but strikes his viewers deep into their hearts as they sympathize with his pleas.
