Taking on this iconic hit from one of country’s best duos, this former star of NBC’s The Voice earns high marks with an incredible performance!

Originally released in January 2007, Montgomery Gentry‘s super-hit “Lucky Man” was an instant fan favorite the moment folks heard it on the radio. Obviously this included a younger version of ‘Voice’ star James Dupré who blew away the internet with a cover version he recorded just a few months later!

“Lucky Man” was Eddie and Troy’s third No. 1 single and sold thousands of copies while also earning them their very first Grammy nomination for Best Country (Duo) Performance.

A powerful and resonating song, this duo’s beloved chart-topper spoke to the hearts of everyone who’s gone through the battle of putting their own torments and annoyances aside – and remembering all the amazing things that God has blessed them with.

Truly one of the best songs in country music, you’ll absolutely fall in love with it all over again when you hear this stunning cover version!

While James Dupré didn’t make it all the way to the finals, he did give the show his all and you’ll see why all four coaches turned around when you watch his video below!
