‘Voice’ Star Gives Breathtaking Performance Of Heavenly Hit ‘Unanswered Prayers’

A former contestant of Season 7 on NBC‘s hit competition show The Voice, James David Carter floored viewers, as well as judges, with his sensational vocals and pure musical talent! While the singer was unable to advance further into the competition, his gift of music has continued to attract viewers and increase his fanbase. 

Previously taking to his Youtube page to showcase remarkable covers and performances, Carter treated viewers to an exceptionally dazzling rendition of Garth Brooks‘ angelic classic “Unanswered Prayers”. Gracing the video wearing a checkered button-up and wielding his guitar, the singer’s velvety voice gracefully caressed every lyric, moving viewers to tears and acceptance over their own prayers left untouched.

Although bearing a striking vocal resemblance to Brooks, Carter adds his own original twist to the iconic hit, flawlessly singing, “Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers/ Remember when you’re talkin’ to the man upstairs/ That just because he doesn’t answer doesn’t mean he don’t care/ Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.”
