Talented singer Samantha Harvey had viewers reaching tears when her powerful performance of a Martina McBride ballad packed a serious punch of emotion and heartache.

Singing the heartbreaking hit “Concrete Angel,” Harvey showcased no shortage of overwhelming talent and undeniable passion.  The song, portraying the story of a young girl living in an abusive home, was flawlessly carried by the young woman’s phenomenal vocal capabilities as she skillfully told the heart-wrenching tale.

“Through the wind and the rain/ She stands hard as a stone/ In a world that she can’t rise above/ But her dreams give her wings/ And she flies to a place where/ She’s loved/ Concrete angel,” she hauntingly sang.

“Concrete Angel” was released in 2002 as McBride’s fourth and final single on her album Greatest Hits. Aside from taking fans on an unforgettable ride of pain and suffering, the song peaked at no.5 on the country charts after a notable rise to success.
