Country music legend George Strait made fans worldwide desperately wish their names were “Corinne” or “Corinna” following a swoon-worthy performance of one of the most romantic hits in music. Merely his second career appearance on Austin City Limits, a televised concert series, Strait treated fans to a ravishing performance of this timeless song “Corinne, Corinna” that has gone down as one for the books.

Although originally sung by Bo Carter in 1928, a dashing Strait took the love song and gave it his signature country twist for an unforgettable 1984 performance! The southern heartthrob was all smiles and fun as he sang along with the upbeat tune and electrifying instrumentals. I love Corinna, tell the world adieu/ I love Corinna, tell the world adieu/ Just a little more lovin’, let your heart be true,” he crooned.

As expected, the doting women, both watching from afar and in the venue, were head-over-heels for this strapping young man and his coveted voice. Strait’s performance not only showcased his timeless talent, but the musical abilities of his fellow band members who individually stepped before the stage to share their gift with the audience.
