I fell in love with this song when I heard it a few years ago,” Madelyn writes on her YouTube page. “I loved singing this song for a few reasons…I love [how the] lyrics and the sweet melody compliment each other and it’s such a sweet story.”

“Remember when I was young and so were you and time stood still and love was all we knew,” sings Madelyn. “Time stood still and love was all we knew.”

“Remember When” was released in 2003 and debuted at No.45 on U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles and quickly soared to No.1 within a few months.

The country classic is about looking back on your first love and the time you spent together. Billboard regards the song as “the most poignant, well written country song to hit the format in a long time.”
