Carrie Underwood made quite the statement when she released the heavy song “Little Toy Guns”, bringing forth the heartbreaking take on troubled marriages from a child’s perspective. The song instantly became an emotional favorite, ultimately earning a nomination for Best Country Solo Performance at the 58th Grammy Awards.

It was the unlikeliest of singers to cover the resonating song, bringing not only her youth but incredible vocal talent to viewers. 14-year-old Mattie Faith, having a plethora of wonderfully done videos, previously recorded her version of Underwood’s original, evoking countless compliments from viewers hailing the young girl’s voice as “amazing”, also admitting that her cover left them in tears.

The vibrant young girl gave a compelling and raw performance, one that would commonly be seen from a performer well beyond her years. Her very apparent talent and lively stage presence is definitely one that refuses to go unnoticed! Check out her cover below!
