Young Girls Cover ‘Forever And Ever, Amen’ And Are Equal Parts Adorable and Talented

Three young girls take the stage at the Riverfest Talent Show in Monticello back in July of 2010 for a winning performance of “Forever and Ever, Amen.” Paige, Alyssa, and Maddy (ages 12, 10, and 7) deliver an impressive cover of Randy Travis’ country classic.

The country trio don cowgirl hats with their hair pulled back in pigtails and stand idly while skillfully harmonizing as well as taking turns for individual solos. The three bow their hats at the end of the performance after perfectly nailing the final verse.

“I’m gonna love you forever, forever and ever, amen,” the trio harmonize together. “As long as old men sit and talk about the weather, as long as old women sit and talk about old men.”

“Forever and Ever, Amen” was released by country music star Randy Travis in 1987, decades before the three girls were even born. There is definitely something very endearing about such young girls singing the lyrics about promising to love someone unconditionally as long as they live. That just makes your heart melt.
