Young Woman Stuns With Heart-Wrenching Rendition Of ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today’

The world was devastated by the loss of one of the finest vocalists in history back in April of 2013 with the passing of George Jones. Over three years since his passing and the Possum’s legacy has continued to push on, his spirit forever living on through his music. An extremely talented young woman took a crack at the country singer’s masterpiece, “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” in a tear-jerking tribute.

A young woman by the name of Mallary Hope paid tribute to the late country singer with a moving rendition of the legend’s heart-wrenching classic. Armed with her acoustic guitar, the young singer took a passionate approach to the song, emotion pouring through her vocals throughout her performance. 

“He Stopped Loving Her Today” was recorded by Jones back in 1979 and has been widely regarded as the greatest country song of all time. The weeks following the vocalist’s death, the song re-entered the country charts at No.21.
