Ella Langley Drops Star-Studded Music Video For “Choosin’ Texas”
Ava Phillippe stole the show (and Ella Langley‘s man) in the brand-new music video for “Choosin’ Texas.”
Ella released “Choosin’ Texas” in October 2025 as the lead single from her upcoming album, Dandelion. The song became an instant hit and remains one of the most popular tracks across all music genres. It spent four weeks at #1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, and currently sits at #2 (at the time of this article’s publication on April 2).
Despite its immense popularity, “Choosin’ Texas” never had a proper music video…until April 1st…and it wasn’t an April Fools’ joke!
The seven-minute video is a star-studded affair. Yellowstone and Marshals actor Luke Grimes plays Langley’s love interest. The clip also features Miranda Lambert (who co-wrote the song with Langley), country artist Kaitlin Butts, and champion bull rider J.B. Mauney.

Additionally, 26-year-old actress and model Ava Phillippe plays the blonde beauty who’s Ella’s adversary in the video. Her character grew up in Texas alongside Luke Grimes’ character, and they fell in love.
But they went their separate ways when Luke went to Tennessee, where he met and started dating the character played by Ella. However, when Luke and Ella return to Abilene, they encounter Ava, and all of Luke’s old feelings for her return.
The video ends with Ella leaving Luke behind, realizing that he will end up “Choosin’ Texas” over her every time.

Who Is Ava Phillippe? She Looks Exactly Like Her Famous Mom…
So who is Ava Phillippe? Well, you may have recognized her, because she looks just like her famous mother…Reese Witherspoon!
Ava is the oldest of Reese’s three children. She was born to Reese and her ex-husband, fellow actor Ryan Phillippe, on September 9, 1999. Reese and Ryan also share a 22-year-old son named Deacon.
Reese and her second ex-husband, Jim Toth, share a 13-year-old son named Tennessee.
“Well, I love being mistaken for [Ava] because it makes me feel so young,” Reese joked during a 2021 interview with InStyle. She added, “I’m so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother.”
That’s Ava on the left and Reese on the right in the photo above. Isn’t the resemblance uncanny?
When Reese spoke to InStyle five years ago, Ava was “studying and learning and trying to find herself.” Cosmopolitan reports that Ava studied social welfare at the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated in 2022.
Reese described her daughter as “down to Earth” and wanting “to do great things in the world.”
Ava has since pursued a career in modeling and acting, having appeared in episodes of Ransom Canyon and Doctor Odyssey. Cosmopolitan outlined the various brands she’s modeled for, including Chanel Beauty, Dior Beauty, Pat McGrath Labs, and Aerie.
Ava also has a strong social media following, with over 1 million followers on Instagram alone.
