Congratulations are in order for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift! The star NFL tight end popped the question to his superstar girlfriend – and she said yes!
The pair have been linked since July 2023, when eagle-eyed fans spotted Kelce attending Swift’s Eras Tour concert. That night, Kelce reportedly attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but was unsuccessful. The popstar herself caught wind of the story when he told it on his New Heights podcast shortly after.
They went public with their relationship in the following months, as Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs football game in September, and the two stepped out hand-in-hand from an SNL after-party in October of that year.
Since then, fans have been speculating whether or not the power couple would be headed down the aisle any time soon. Swift shared the happy news of their engagement on August 26th, 2025, with a caption that read:
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”

A “Swelce” Love Story
The couple, whom fans have lovingly nicknamed “Swelce,” have fostered their relationship in front of the watchful eye of millions. But behind closed doors, they say they are just two “regular” people. Kelce told GQ:
“We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f*** off.”
Prior to going public, Swift said she had been “hanging out” with the football player for quite a while, which she credits for their close bond.
“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
