Breanna Nix Comes Out On Top On iTunes

Despite finishing in third place on the season finale of American Idol Sunday night, Breanna Nix is still coming out on top!

The stay-at-home-mom-turned-Idol contestant is currently leading the iTunes Top Songs chart with her single “Higher.” 

Higher” is beating out songs by both Jamal Roberts and John Foster, the two men who eliminated her from the competition.

“My song charted to #1 on iTunes!! Let’s go!!!!! thank you SO much for your support and love!!! This is just the beginning. ❤️” Nix said.

Nix Wants To Encourage Those Who Feel Hopeless

The 25-year-old said during a previous interview that she aims to encourage other stay-at-home moms to dream big, and know they can do whatever they put their mind to.

“It’s been awesome to know that I have, like, moms cheering me on and also at the same time encouraging them to chase their own dreams,” she said.

As a strong woman of faith, Nix says moving forward in her career, she just wants to meet people and give them hope in their life.

“I never thought I would be on the other side of the fence encouraging other people, I never thought I could be that person to like speak life into someone who felt hopeless,” the singer shared.

Breanna Nix Has Been Vocal About Her Faith From The Start

Nix has incorporated her strong Christian faith throughout her journey on Idol, beginning at her very first audition where she sang Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”

25-year-old Breanna introduced herself to the judges at the time as “just a stay-at-home mom” from Denton, Texas. That line made headlines when Carrie told her to never underestimate her role as a mom to her little boy, Emerson.

Never say, I’m just a stay-at-home mom…you have the most important job,” Underwood told Nix.

After advancing from her initial audition, the singer went on to show off her beautiful vocals with renditions of its including “The Show Must Go On,” “Like My Mother Does,” and “You’ll Be in My Heart.”

Breanna wowed fans for a final time on the show during her finale performance with Christian artist, Brandon Lake.

The two delivered a spectacular duet version of his new song, “Daddy’s DNA,” and she appeared to be beaming with joy.
