Buffalo Vs. Dog: Bison Sends Pitbull Flying Through Air At Yellowstone

A viral video from 2014 is getting a second fifteen minutes of fame almost seven years later.

On YouTube, a tourist, Miranda Dendys, shared a clip from her trip to Yellowstone National Park. In the footage, she filmed several buffalo as they stood in a grassy field. Unfortunately, a few seconds into the clip, Miranda’s travel companion, Richard, lost track of Miranda’s pitbull, Mac. Of course, the dog immediately dashed across the field to check out the large animals.

Almost immediately, Miranda’s pitbull charges one of the buffalo, and the massive animal defends itself. The buffalo head-butts the dog and sends the pitbull flying through the air. Afterward, Miranda recalled the incident on her YouTube page. In the video caption, she wrote:

“My pitbull Mac decided to get in-between two buffalo fighting and go running straight toward one getting headbutt and thrown into the air. Crazy dog.”

After regaining balance, the pitbull retreated to safety. Luckily, the dog was okay after the shocking incident. Unfortunately, the same fate cannot be said for Richard, who appeared to be in big trouble.
