Jelly Roll Admits To Past Affair
During a recent appearance on the Human School Podcast, Jelly Roll opened up about apart of his life he has never publicly discussed before.
He talked about how much of his music draws inspiration from real life, especially the times when he found himself surrounded by people he probably shouldn’t have been with, or caught up in conversations he knew he shouldn’t have been having.
The singer then shared about a personal experience that he deeply regrets.
“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife. Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back.”
He admitted he has put in a lot of work to repair their relationship today, and that thankfully they are “stronger than we could have ever been.”
“I wish our story would’ve went in the way that it never had an affair, and I’m in way glad it happened, but man, I’m proud of who we are today. I truly am,” Jelly said.
Jelly & Bunnie’s Love Story
Jelly and Bunnie’s love story began when the couple met in 2015 during one of his performances at a small bar in Las Vegas.
“We hit it off,” he said during an interview with Taste of Country. “She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room.”
Just one year later, during one of his concerts in Sin City, Jelly Roll spontaneously proposed to Bunnie and they eloped at a Vegas chapel the same night.
In August 2023, the couple revisited the same Vegas chapel and renewed their vows surrounded by loved ones, sharing a full-circle moment in their life together.
Bunnie Opened Up For The First Time Since The News Broke
Just one day after news broke about Jelly’s previous affair, Bunnie opened up on social media to address much of the chatter.
When one user told Bunnie she should “hop away” from Jelly over the ordeal, she had some powerful words to share.
“It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves — instead of running or gossiping,” Bunnie wrote in a screenshot shared to her Instagram Story.
The Dumb Blonde podcast host continued: “But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life.”
