Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s Love Story

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have become one of country music’s most adored couples, but their love story actually started long before either one of them stepped foot into the spotlight.

How They Met

Their journey began back in 2015 when Bunnie happened to be at one of Jelly Roll’s performances at a small Las Vegas bar. Not knowing who he was, Bunnie found herself backstage that evening, where they were formally introduced. Nonetheless, she was involved in an abusive relationship at the time, putting a pause on any immediate romantic connection between the two. During an exclusive interview with Taste of Country, Jelly Roll talks about him and Bunnie’s unspoken connection when they first met.

“We hit it off,” he says. “She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room.”

After Bunnie exited the toxic relationship, her and Jelly Roll reconnected. At this point in time, Jelly Roll’s career hadn’t skyrocketed, and he was struggling with being homeless. After hearing about his situation, Bunnie decided to lend a helping hand by giving him a place to stay.

Bunnie’s support during this period solidified their connection, leading to a deeper understanding of each other. Naturally, they decided to take their relationship to the next level and officially began dating.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Elope

Later in the same year, during one of his concerts in Vegas in 2016, Jelly Roll spontaneously proposed to Bunnie. Seizing the moment, they eloped at a Vegas chapel in the same night. Although their relationship moved quickly, it was evident that it was a case of fate.

Bunnie’s role extends beyond being Jelly Roll’s partner; she also embraces the challenge of being a stepmother to his kids from a previous relationship, Bailee and Noah, who Jelly Roll has had custody of for nine years.

“It takes a special kind of woman to raise a kid that isn’t her child and still treat the child as if she was,” Jelly Roll said in a post on Instagram. “Bunnie is that special woman, outside of the social media, outside of the podcast, and all the business endeavors she does and helps me with, Bunnie is a beautiful soul. She is kind, patient, and caring. Over the years watching her relationship with Bailee blossom into this beautiful mother daughter bond that it has become has been nothing short of magical. I have truly been blessed with the best partner I could’ve asked for in life . You are the epitome of a good mom and deserve more credit than anyone because you didn’t have to step up to the plate the way you did. You chose to step up and man you have knocked it out of the park.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Renew Their Vows

In August 2023, the couple revisited the place where it all began— the same Vegas chapel. This time, however, they renewed their vows surrounded by loved ones, marking a heartwarming full-circle moment in their shared journey.
