Jelly Roll was the answer to a recent Jeopardy Masters question that left the contestants looking lost.
This week, the “Save Me” singer took over hosting duties on Jimmy Kimmel Live from August 24th to 27th as Kimmel took his annual summer sabbatical. Each year, the host leaves his famous desk in the hands of his famous friends, providing an entertaining change of pace for viewers.
This was Jelly Roll’s second summer filling in on the late-night show. He stirred up controversy on his first night as host after making comments about President Trump’s weight. He later stood firm on his remarks and told critics who threatened to stop listening to his music to “go right ahead.”
Throughout his four-night run, the country star welcomed a lineup of notable guests, including actor Glen Powell, author Jay Shetty, comedian Leanne Morgan, and musical guest Stevie Nicks.

Jelly Roll Reacts To Jeopardy Strikeout
During his final night of hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Tennessee native admitted he had been “feeling really good” about himself until he saw a clip from a recent episode of Jeopardy Masters.
In the spinoff of the famous game show, the six highest-ranked current Jeopardy contestants compete against one another with two high-stakes games. During the episode, a question worth $800 in the category “Recent Country Music” read:
“‘I only talk to God when I need a favor,’ sang this man with a prominent cross tattoo”
The prompt, which references Jelly Roll’s hit song “Need A Favor,” left all three competitors with blank stares, unwilling to risk an answer that they did not know.
The musician took a dramatic pause after the clip is shown and then joked:
“Okay, I’ll take famous fatties for 300.”
