Caleb Lee Hutchinson Sings ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’ On ‘Idol’s’ 2018 Disney Night

Caleb Lee Hutchinson, the 19-year-old country croonin’ Dallas, Georgia native, made it to the top two on ABC’s Season 1 of American Idol in 2018.
Both season of Idol have done a Disney-themed night. Each contestant was challenged to choose a famous song from a Disney classic movie and sing it like they meant it to convince viewers they deserved to make the cut for the next round.
Singing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story, Caleb dedicated the Randy Newman original and Toy Story classic to his dog, Hershey.
“I don’t want y’all to think it’s an act,” Caleb shared, “my dog seriously stood by me at all my low points and is my actual best friend. I love him more than most people.”
This sentiment obviously resonated with fans. Hundreds posted pictures of their pups on Twitter (@calebleemusic) empathizing with the young singer’s feelings about his canine compadre.
