“It was just such a blessing in so many ways to my life this year, because of all the challenges we faced recording and writing and just working. It was something that I got to pour myself into creatively,” Underwood explained in an interview with Circle All Access Media.

On the new album, Underwood’s five-year-old son, Isaiah, accompanies his mother for a touching rendition of the song, “Little Drummer Boy.” Fellow artist and hitmaker John Legend also teamed up with the country star for the Christmas album. The two vocal powerhouses joined forces for the song “Hallelujah,” which was co-written by Legend. The piece highlights each artist’s unique style in a way that fans are sure to love.

“It’s like, I needed it,” Underwood spoke fondly of the album. “So I really hope when people listen to it, they’re like, ‘Oh, I needed this.’”

Underwood proves that even a difficult year can not destroy the Christmas Spirit! Add My Gift to your playlist, and get to Fa-la-la-la-la-ing!
