While most of us are complaining about the Quarantine 15 (unwanted weight gain from our days of non-stop eating while in isolation), others have taken advantage of the free time to step up their workout game. Country star Carrie Underwood has helped pass her time in quarantine with workouts, some of which she has documented on social media.
Underwood, who won American Idol 15 years ago, has long been a health and fitness advocate and she recently released her first book, “Find Your Path,” and a fitness app called Fit52. The project was inspired by Carrie’s love for fitness and the online criticism that spurred her on.
“I shouldn’t care what people think about me,” she said, after recounting body shaming she received on message boards in her American Idol days. “I was tired, and I kept buying bigger clothes. I knew I could be better for myself, and I let my haters be my motivators.”
The hard work paid off for Carrie and she showed it off in a recent post to social media. In the post, Carrie is seen donning a floppy sun hat and a two-piece swimsuit from her CALIA by Carrie apparel line.
“Is it summer yet?” Underwood captioned the photo then added a yellow sun emoji and the hashtags “#PoolReady” and “#ChooseYou.”
