Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter Was Found Deceased In A Hotel On New Year’s Day
Victoria Jones’ official cause of death has been released following her tragic passing.
34-year-old Victoria was the daughter of Coal Miner’s Daughter and The Fugitive star Tommy Lee Jones. Tommy also has a 43-year-old son, Austin,
Victoria acted a little in her younger years, appearing alongside her father in Men in Black II and starring in the film The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which he directed.
She eventually stepped away from the spotlight, but still made an occasional red carpet appearance.
Sadly, Victoria was found deceased at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on New Year’s Day (January 1). TMZ obtained the dispatch audio related to the discovery of Victoria’s body, in which someone said, “Code 3 for the overdose, color change.“
People speculated the “color change” remark could relate to a medical occurrence known as cyanosis. The Mayo Clinic describes cyanosis as something that “occurs when your blood lacks the oxygen it needs to reach the different tissues in your body.”
Some of the causes of cyanosis include:
- Drug overdose
- Toxic exposure
- Seizures
- Medications used to treat high blood pressure
- Exposure to extreme cold
The Fairmont Hotel released a statement about Victoria’s passing, saying:
“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.“
Victoria’s family released a statement of their own. They confirmed the news of her death and asked the public to respect their privacy.
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Victoria Jones’ Official Cause Of Death Released
Victoria Jones’ cause of death has now been determined.
On Tuesday (February 17), the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco, California, released Victoria’s cause of death. PEOPLE reports that she died as a result of the “toxic effects of cocaine.” Her manner of death was ruled an “accident.”
This news came over a month after Victoria was found deceased. No additional details have been released to the public.
