Squirrel hunting can be a truly enjoyable pastime — but what exactly are you supposed to do with all those squirrels?

Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered.

The folks over at Naked Truth Outdoors are sharing their recipe for buffalo squirrel wings — the perfect treat for sharing with the family, or enjoying on your own while you kick back and watch the game.

First, you’ll need to remove the meat from your squirrel (you’ll likely get five or so good-sized chunks). Next, soak the meat in water (in a covered container) to allow the blood to drain. Remove the meat from the water, drain on paper towels.

Heat up some oil on the oven (you’ll want it at medium-high heat). In a separate pan, combine about half a stick of butter, a quarter cup of hot sauce, a sprinkle of garlic powder, and a squeeze of honey to taste.

While that simmers, toss your squirrel meat in flour and fry it in the oil. Cook thoroughly (each piece should be a golden brown color before you remove it from the oil), toss in wing sauce, and serve with ranch or bleu cheese.
