Millions of people across the country are reeling after a historic storm brought record-breaking temperatures and winter precipitation to states that rarely experience such weather. Texas was one of the states hit by the storm that left many without power and with devastating damage to property.

One such property to experience damage was Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table restaurant, one of many businesses owned by the iconic couple in Waco, Texas. The restaurant opened in 2018 and has since become one of the hottest stops for fans of the Fixer Upper stars.  Unfortunately, Magnolia Table suffered major damage after a pipe in the ceiling busted and flooded the property.

In a video shared to social media, Chip Gaines shared footage of the flooded restaurant with a caption that read:

“Whether you heard about it on the news or have been living in the middle of it, you know Texas has been hit hard by Winter Storm Uri. Families and individuals from all over are dealing with the fallout of a storm like we’ve never seen. Here in Waco, we opened the doors to a busted pipe that flooded our restaurant.. but we know this same story is playing out across the state, with so many people facing far worse.”

The clip shows water raining down inside the dining room and the floors covered in water. In the video and caption, Gaines encourages his fans to “do some good today” along with a link to Texas Forever, a foundation that will benefit several Texas charities who are helping those impacted by the disaster.

“To really make an impact, we’re asking you to come alongside us in contributing to our friends over at Habitat Texas: Disaster Relief Services, Feeding Texas, and Mission Waco. These groups have already hit the ground running to provide immediate relief to communities across the state, and are committed to long-term recovery and restoration efforts, locally and statewide. The best way we know how to hep our neighbors here in Texas is to link arms and continue the good work that’s already begun,” their website reads.

Magnolia donated $100,000 to the charity and is offering a Texas Forever shirt with the proceeds going to the Magnolia Foundation. Find out more about how you can help those affected by the winter storms, click here.
