Stapletons Shield Their Children From The Spotlight
Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane had plenty of reasons to celebrate in 2018. For starters, Chris walked away with three trophies at the 2018 CMA Awards, including the coveted Male Vocalist of the Year Award.
To top it off, the couple announced in November 2018 they were expecting their fifth child. That baby, a boy, was born in May 2019.
The two’s eldest children, a son and a daughter, have remained out of the spotlight since they were born. In fact, Chris and Morgane are so protective of their children, they had previously never said their names in public and never released photos of them.
That all changed when they welcomed their twin sons in the spring of 2018. While they didn’t share the baby boys’ names, Morgane did post a photo of them, which was a huge deal.

Some Important Details You Missed
Chris and Morgane have certainly taken a more unique approach when it comes to revealing information about their children. After all, we do live in a world where celebrities often auction off their newborn’s first photo to the highest bidder.
Because we’re so used to knowing everything about celebrities’ family lives, you may have missed two tiny but important details in Chris’ acceptance speech for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards.
At that point, Chris had already given two speeches, for Song of the Year and Single of the Year. The latter award he dedicated to those affected by the horrific event at the Borderline country bar in California.

Chris Shares Kids’ Names In Emotional Male Vocalist Speech
So when it came time to deliver his speech for Male Vocalist of the Year, Chris chose to focus on his family. He thanked his children for being patient with his busy schedule, saying, “I want to thank my kids, who put up with me being gone quite a bit and not getting to be as good of a dad as I would always like to be.”
Then, that’s when Chris quickly said his two eldest kids’ names for the first time in public:
“Waylon and Ada, if you’re out there tonight, and the twin boys, and the one on the way, I love you so much,” he said.
Chris couldn’t help but get choked up at the end of his speech as he thanked Morgane for always being by his side. You can watch his speech in full in the video below.
There you have it folks, you finally know two of the Stapleton kids’ names!
