Even though Chris Stapleton recently welcomed twin boys with his wife, Morgane, he took some time away from daddy duty to perform his newest single at the 2018 CMT Music Awards

You Loved Him Before You Knew Him

Stapleton first gained success as a songwriter, penning hit songs for Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and Darius Rucker – just to name a few. Even before we knew him as an artist, we were already jamming to his songs he wrote for these superstars!

The singer-songwriter dropped his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 and has never looked back. Since then, he’s won countless awards for that album and his two follow-ups From A Room: Volume 1 and From A Room: Volume 2.

Stapleton Doing What He Does Best

Although he didn’t take home any awards – which is rare – he took the stage and proved why the awards keep coming his way with his fan-pleasing performance of his first single off From A Room: Volume 2, “Millionaire.”

He was introduced by the show’s hosts, Little Big Town, as “a singer, songwriter, father, husband and friend to all of us,” and “one of the great talents in music.” Stapleton’s performance took place outdoors, on the historic street in Music City -Broadway.

He did what he does best – sang the hell out of the song. He kept his performance simple because his talent does all the work for him.

After seeing Stapleton perform “Millionaire” you’ll want to hit replay more than once.
