The CMA Awards show is taking place in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena. Countless performances are to come and 12 awards are handed out. One of the show’s first trophies was awarded….Single of the Year.

Deana Carter and Lainey Wilson were on-hand to present the trophy after reading the list of nominees:

  • Famous Friends” by Chris Young with Kane Brown
  • “The Good Ones” by Gabby Barrett
  • “Hell Of A View” by Eric Church
  • “One Night Standards” by Ashley McBryde
  • “Starting Over” by Chris Stapleton

The CMA Award went to Chris Stapleton for “Starting Over!”

He also took home the Song of the Year award for this song. Congratulations!
