Kurt Russell Signs On To Star Alongside Michelle Pfeiffer In The Madison
The Madison, a new Yellowstone spin-off, has added Western movie icon Kurt Russell to its cast.
Being part of a Yellowstone-connected series seems right up Russell’s alley. He’s known for his roles in Western films such as Bone Tomahawk, The Hateful Eight, and Tombstone, playing Wyatt Earp in the latter film.
Additionally, Russell delivered memorable performances in Silkwood, Escape from New York, Escape from L.A., Backdraft, and Overboard, among other projects. He also played Elvis Presley in a 1979 biopic.

Deadline reports that Russell has been cast as a series regular in The Madison. However, Deadline did not share any information about his character.
The confirmation of Russell’s casting comes over a year after he was first attached to the series. Michelle Pfeiffer and Patrick J. Adams were also being eyed for roles then, and they’ve since joined the cast.
In addition to Pfeiffer and Adams, Russell will star alongside, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Kevin Zegers.
Deadline describes The Madison as:
“…A heartfelt exploration of grief and human connection, following a New York City family in the Madison River Valley of central Montana.”
The Madison doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, so stay tuned to learn when you can see Russell in the show.
Multiple Yellowstone Spin-Offs Are In The Works Right Now
The Madison isn’t the only Yellowstone spin-off in the pipeline. A series centered on Kayce Dutton, called Y: Marshals, will premiere in 2026.
Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are also getting a spin-off. Its working title is The Dutton Ranch, and it’s eyeing a 2026 debut as well.
Both series have recently made casting announcements. Yellowstone stars Luke Grimes, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, and Brecken Merrill will reprise their roles in Y: Marshals. Yellowstone‘s Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little will appear alongside new co-stars Ed Harris and Annette Bening in The Dutton Ranch.
There’s also been talk about another prequel series, 1944, which will follow the Duttons during WWII. Plus, there have been a few reports of a spin-off centered on the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas.
