Country Band Parmalee Teams Up With Police For Lip Sync Battle

These country stars decided to get on board with local police for the lip sync challenge that took the internet by storm!
Parmalee first released “Carolina” in 2013 – and it became an instant hit. As their first #1 Billboard song on US Country Airplay – it put their name on the map.
The song highlights a woman who reminds the band of down-home southern comfort like you’d find in Carolina. But they say she is also as beautiful as the golden shorelines of California combined with the city lights of New York.
In the song, they explain how no matter where they are touring, this girl makes them “feel like home’s not so far away.”
As if the song wasn’t sweet enough – these boys made us swoon all over again when they stepped up to help out local Putnam County law enforcement.

The video starts out at a concert venue, with fans scattered across the lawn waiting for their band to come on. Luke Combs‘ “When It Rains It Pours” can be heard blasting from the crowd as a stranger approaches a tour bus being prepped by staff.
She asks the roadie, “Excuse me. Who’s playing here tonight?” He casually responds, “Why don’t you look and see?” – inviting the lucky lady onto the tour bus.
When she enters, two police officers are lounging around, lip-syncing to Parmalee’s hit song “Carolina.” Their hilarious dance moves get amplified during the chorus as the band joins them for a friendly lip sync battle. The tour bus looked a little cramped – but they definitely didn’t let this hold them back.
We love seeing bands and law enforcement taking a break from their high-stress jobs to let loose and have a little fun.
