Ray Stevens Suffers Broken Neck After Fall
Country music icon Ray Stevens suffered a broken neck following a recent fall, PEOPLE reports.
The 87-year-old was injured on March 29th and was briefly hospitalized following the incident. Medical professionals determined that the injury would require him to wear a neck brace for several weeks, but no surgery was reported.
Despite the seriousness of the injury, Stevens is said to be in good spirits and remains mobile as he continues his recovery at home. Those close to the singer have indicated that he is expected to make a full recovery.
The injury comes after Stevens suffered a heart attack in July 2025. At the time, he was experiencing some chest pain.
It was later determined that he suffered a mild heart attack, and he underwent a “minimally invasive heart surgery.”
Stevens, known for hits spanning decades and his unique blend of comedy and country music, was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
