Country Rebel Artist Justin Holmes Sees Over Half A Million Streams With New Single “Damn Addiction”

February 4, 2022, fans were finally able to listen to Justin Holmes’ debut single, “Damn Addiction” across all streaming platforms. Since its release, the song has amassed over 600,00 streams and continues to rise.

Justin Holmes is a country singer/songwriter who recently stepped into the spotlight after his song “Damn Addiction” began to go viral on TikTok.

Born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky, Holmes got his first guitar at the age of 15, shortly before his father passed away. It quickly became an outlet for him to deal with his father’s death and sparked an interest in songwriting. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces member and spent the majority of his 14 years of service as a weapons instructor. Holmes would take his guitar with him everywhere and often played for his fellow service members.

“Damn Addiction” was originally recorded in 2019,  when Holmes was invited to participate in ‘The George Jones Sessions’ in which Country Rebel filmed and recorded over 30 artists to share and promote on its platform.

Since its upload to the Country Rebel YouTube channel in 2019, “Damn Addiction” was discovered by users on SoundCloud and TikTok, where it has since gone viral. The song has now been used in over 9,000 videos (and counting) on TikTok and boasted over 220,000 streams on SoundCloud in a month’s time. The YouTube video featuring Holmes’ performance has now surpassed 2.5 million views on YouTube with one million of those views amassing in the past month alone.

Following the song’s success, Holmes signed with Country Rebel Records, and “Damn Addiction” was put out on all streaming platforms. Spotify gained over 375k streams in just one week with Apple Music showing a similar number.
