Country Star Discovers Baby’s Gender Isn’t What She Thought

After weeks of wondering, Pistol Annies’ Angaleena Presley finally revealed the gender of her baby to friends and family. Known to fans as “Holler Annie,” Presley, 42, cut into the gender reveal cake for a great surprise!

On August 13, Pistol Annies made the first big announcement in their hometown. Standing in front of a roaring crowd, Miranda Lambert exclaimed, “One of us is drinking, one of us is smoking, and one of us is not taking our pill! Holler Annie’s having a baby, everybody! Stay tuned for the rest…”

Since then, everyone has been wondering if the baby will be a boy or a girl. Even Presley and her husband were getting excited about the gender reveal! They were pretty sure they were going to have a boy, but plans don’t always go as planned.

They told People “We both guessed boy… we had a whole list of boy names but hadn’t really even scratched the surface on girl names.”

After being almost certain it was a boy, the couple got a huge surprise when they cut into the gender reveal cake and saw… pink! Even soon-to-be-brother, Jed was happily shocked. At 11, he helped mom and dad cut into the cake and the smile on his face was priceless. We have a feeling he is going to be one great big brother.

Presley explained that she “had a gut feeling that it was a girl but remained in denial until the moment it was confirmed.”

She added that the day was one she won’t soon forget. She told People, “The moment we found out was glorious… we were surrounded by close friends and family and there was a literal gasp when big brother cut the cake and revealed that we were having a girl. The whole rest of the day was filled with talk of tea parties and frilly hand-me-downs.”

With such a loving family, we know this little one is going to have lots of fun growing up. And with big brother already excited to meet her – she will have a great friend right off the bat!
