However, more recently, he has become the topic of conversation due to a brown recluse spider bite he got at the beginning of June 2020.

On Monday, June 1, 2020, Craig asked his fans on social media about what he believed to be an insect bite, saying:

“Anyone of y’all ever been bit by an insect (spider, mosquito, etc) and it look like this? The first photo was from Sunday morning on the way to the minute clinic. Second photo was last night and last photo was taken this morning. It hurts like hell to the touch!! Somebody tell me what bit me ?”

Two days later, after going to a minute clinic and seeing two practitioners, Craig provided an update on social media saying, “The general consensus is a brown recluse bit me. I’m going today to talk with a plastic surgeon to discuss next steps in case skin grafting is needed. In the words of my sister, brown recluse are straight from the pits of Hell!! By the way…I feel fine but my arm hurts super bad ?.”

On June 24, 2020, he provided a 25-day update on how the bite was doing. Although the image of Day 25 looked “gross,”  Craig assured fans that the bite was healing exactly as they expected it to and admitted the spiders were no joke.

On his Day 45 update of the spider bite chronicles, Craig joked about waking up hoping he has the special powers of Spider-Man and be able to throw webs. He also used a filter that showed a spider crawling away from the wound.
