Dancing With The Stars Teased A Major Announcement
On their social media sites, Dancing With The Stars teased a big announcement on Good Morning America, but kept the nature of the announcement very tight-lipped.
See the promo video for the “big” announcement below, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 10th.
Fans speculated as to what the announcement could be, including suggesting a season of Dancing With The Fans and throwing their own hats in the ring. Other guesses were another all-star season, going back to two seasons per year, and also, a cruise.
Another theory was that the show was announcing a spin-off to find the next professional dancer, according to DWTS insider Kristyn Burtt.
While Burtt does have some good insider information, the spin-off show was not the huge announcement.
Dancing With The Stars Announces First-Ever Fan Convention
With the Dancing With The Stars tour stopping in New York City for a few days, it was only right to have the announcement take place on Good Morning America on the morning of February 10! They even flew in some past pros, including a pregnant Lindsay Arnold and Sasha Farber, and other current pros who are not on the tour.
The show actually announced its first-ever Dancing With The Stars Con, a three-day fan convention that will be held this summer at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California from July 31-August 2.
The convention will feature some of your favorite pros and celebrities throughout the year, a live game show, amazing performances, interactive photo opportunities, live panels, exhibits, and so much more.

The pros that will be in attendance include Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Jan Ravnik, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, and Britt Stewart.
Celebrities will be Hannah Brown (Season 28 champ), Danielle Fishel, Xochitl Gomez (Season 32 champ), Joey Graziadei (Season 33 champ), Elaine Hendrix, Rashad Jennings (Season 24 champ), Amanda Kloots, Whitney Leavitt, Phaedra Parks, Jojo Siwa, Johnny Weir, Rumer Willis (Season 20 champ), Kristi Yamaguchi (Season 6 champ), and Ginger Zee.
Judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonnioli are also slated to appear.
Tickets are available at DWTSCon.com, and they have all the information listed there! See the tentative schedule below.
Friday night will include an “official welcome from DWTS pros, special moments, and game show.” The daytime on Saturday will be a time fans can have all their burning questions answered during a time that promises “honest, behind-the-scenes conversations, funny stories, and real, unscripted moments.”
Saturday night will have a “unique” live performance from all the pros and celebrities!
