Sammy Kershaw’s Delaware Performance Canceled
On Friday (July 31), the Delaware State Fair announced that country singer Sammy Kershaw’s concert was canceled.
Fair organizers announced that Kershaw would no longer perform during the evening’s concert after the singer became sick and was unable to take the stage. Kershaw had been scheduled to join fellow country stars Tracy Lawrence and Aaron Tippin.
His tour schedule says he is expected to return to the stage for a performance in Huntsville, Alabama tonight, however there has been no update on that show.
As of Saturday (August 1), Kershaw has not publicly addressed the cancellation or shared additional details about his condition.
The Delaware State Fair has now experienced two concert disruptions in just a week. On Sunday (July 26), a performance by Bailey Zimmerman was canceled after a power outage at the venue.
“We are aware of the power outage currently affecting the Delaware State Fair. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible,” fair organizers said at the time. “We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore power. Thank you for bearing with us — we’ll share updates as they become available.”
The announcement quickly drew hundreds of comments on Facebook, with many fans expressing disappointment over the canceled performance and asking about refund options.
Zimmerman later apologized to his fans for how the night unfolded.
