Ozzy Osbourne To Be Honored In Private Funeral Ceremony
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be laid to rest on Wednesday (July 30) in a funeral held in his hometown of Birmingham, England.
A public funeral procession will precede the private ceremony, making its way through the heart of Ozzy Osbourne’s childhood hometown. The route will pass the Black Sabbath Bridge and commemorative bench, where thousands of fans have left flowers and messages in tribute to the legendary heavy metal icon, the Guardian reported.
“It was important to the city that we support a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral. We know how much this moment will mean to his fans,” Lord Mayor Zafar Iqbal said.
The procession will be viewable via a live stream centered on the Black Sabbath bench, allowing fans to follow along from home.
