Dog The Bounty Hunter’s 13-Year-Old Grandson Died Following An Accidental Shooting

Anthony is the son of Gregory Zecca, Francie’s son from her previous marriage. Gregory reportedly accidentally shot and killed his son.

Dog The Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, and Francie released the following statement to TMZ.

“We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.”

Gregory is a member of Dog The Bounty Hunter’s bounty hunting team and has been photographed alongside his mom and stepdad numerous times. Anthony has also made several appearances on his grandma and step-grandpa’s social media.

TMZ reports that the shooting was a “freak accident” and law enforcement is treating it as an “isolated incident,” but they are investigating it.

Gregory Is Reportedly on A Psych Hold

We can’t imagine the pain the entire family must be going through after losing a loved one who was so young.

Gregory seems to be taking it the worst, understandably so.

In a new report, TMZ says Gregory is on an involuntary psychiatric hold, commonly known as a 5150 hold, for 72 hours after displaying concerning behavior and fear he may commit suicide.

A 5150 hold is “a critical intervention used to detain individuals who are considered a danger to themselves or others or are gravely disabled due to a mental disorder,” according to National Alliance on Mental Illness West Los Angeles.

TMZ reports that Gregory does not feel he is guilty of a crime, but instead “stricken by grief.” He has not yet spoken to police due to being heavily sedated.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Gregory, Francie, Duane, and the rest of their family as they grieve this unimaginable loss and get Gregory the help he needs.
