NorthStar Pet Rescue in Boonton, New Jersey, took the photo at the home of the man who owned Moose. They shared the photo on Facebook showing Moose sitting beside his bed with a solemn look in his eyes, waiting and unaware his papa wasn’t coming back.

The post read, “Moose sat patiently next to his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to return, not knowing that “Dad” had passed away. He’s taking the loss of his dad pretty hard. Please help Moose find a new home and a family for him to love.”

Finding Moose A New Home

NorthStar Pet Rescue (NSPR) is a rescue center for animals in desperate situations and came to the aid of Moose to find him a new home. So they shared the picture to Facebook in hopes someone would adopt him.

NSPR later wrote, “Thanks to the power of social media, Moose has received several applications & we are hopeful he will find a forever home soon! Thank you for caring & sharing everyone!”

According to the post, it appears Moose will be getting a new home soon! We’re hoping he gets accepted into a loving and happy family ready to love him. In the meantime, please send your thoughts and prayers to heal his precious little heart.
