Multiple Buc-ee’s Stores Recieve Poor Rating

Multiple Buc-ee’s locations have been given an “F” grade by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) after the organization reported that the Texas-based travel center chain did not respond to dozens of customer complaints submitted through its platform.

As of Wednesday (March 11), a total of 38 Buc-ee’s locations in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas had received the failing rating.

The BBB website allows consumers to file complaints about businesses, similar to review platforms like Yelp. Records show the earliest unresolved complaint against Buc-ee’s was filed in March 2023. The most recent was submitted in February 2026.

Buc-ee’s is a large chain of travel centers and convenience stores in the United States. It is most well-known for its massive store size, exceptionally clean restrooms, and large number of gas pumps. The company was founded in 1982 in Texas and has since expanded to several states across the southern United States.

Customers most frequently complained about car wash issues, faulty or poor-quality merchandise, and incorrect charges appearing on their credit or debit cards. Some customers also said they submitted complaints through Buc-ee’s website but never received a response from the company, USA Today reports.

What Is The Better Business Bureau?

The BBB is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide transparency about businesses to the general public. They run a paid accreditation program for businesses, which provides a platform where consumers can post public reviews and file formal complaints.

The group grades businesses on a scale ranging from A+ to F. According to the nonprofit’s website, the ratings are designed to give consumers insight into a company’s business practices.

“BBB ratings are not a guarantee of a business’s reliability or performance. BBB recommends that consumers consider a business’s BBB rating in addition to all other available information about the business,” their website states.
