Dr. Phil Joins Border Czar Tom Homan On Ride-Along To Make Immigration Arrests

TV personality and psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw joined federal agents and Border Czar to help President Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
President Trump signed a record amount of executive orders the day he took office on January 20th. Among those were 10 orders aimed at changing U.S. immigration law and policy.
According the the American Immigration Council, “The initial wave of executive actions scales up a ‘mass deportation’ operation that everyone without legal status in the United States will be highly vulnerable to on the first day these practices go into effect.”
Two days after the executive orders were in place, Border Czar Tom Homan told Fox News that 308 arrests had been made by ICE across the country. This compares to 282 arrests per day ICE made in September 2024.
Dr. Phil was allowed to go on a ride along with federal agents in Chicago.
On Sunday (Jan. 26), Dr. Phil joined several different organizations including ICE, the FBI, the DEA, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Some of the action was streamed by Merit TV, Dr. Phil’s television network he founded after the Dr. Phil Show went off the air in May 2023.
In a video filmed by Merit TV and posted to Dr. Phil’s X page, McGraw asked a man who was being arrested, “What have you been charged with?”
“Charged with?” he asked.
“Before,” Dr. Phil clarified.
“I’m not going to say nothing. I want to talk to my lawyer.”
“Are you a citizen?” McGraw then asked on the video.
“My mom’s a citizen.”
“Your mother is a citizen?” Dr. Phil asked. “But you’re not?”
“No,” the man in the video answered.
Homan then explained the situation to Dr. Phil.
“This is an example of sanctuary cities. We’ve got an illegal alien charged with sex crimes against children. And he’s walking the streets of Chicago. Again, the downfall of sanctuary city…people like this just walking the street rather than local law enforcement working with federal agents, this is what we’re dealing with.”
Dr. Phil asked the man in handcuffs, “You’ve been charged with sex crimes with children?” and the man replied, “Not really.”
“Huh,” McGraw said, in disbelief.
“Let’s take him in, process him, and lock him up,” Homan said.
