ABC’s beloved television dancing competition is currently in the latter half of its 27th season and we have to say, they really cranked up the heat on this one! For their most recent episode on Monday night (November 5th, 2018), they featured country music performers and country songs for the highly-anticipated “country night.”

Earning their highest score of the season, former NFL superstar DeMarcus Ware and his dancing pro partner Lindsay Arnold danced a beautiful waltz to Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey.”

Together, they scored a near-perfect 27/30 points…but that wasn’t enough to save them.

In a shocking twist, two teams from this season’s roster were eliminated in a double-elimination at the end of the night. Ware and Arnold were put on the chopping block alongside “Dukes” star John Schneider and Emma Slater, plus Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe.

Unfortunately, only one of the teams would remain after these fun-filled country performances.

With the double-elimination, the judge’s scores didn’t matter as much as they do earlier in the season and it was all left up to America’s vote – which showed that even with a near-perfect dance, you could be sent packing.

Both Ware/Arnold and Schneider/Slater were eliminated following the vote tally for the evening, but in a post-show interview, they all explained that this has been a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience.
