Ella Langley’s Tulsa Show Canceled Over Bomb Threat
Ella Langley’s Friday night (Oct. 9) show at Tulsa’s BOK Center was abruptly called off just hours before the country singer was scheduled to take the stage.
News of the cancellation was shared through Ella’s official social media accounts, with a statement informing fans that the decision was made in response to a “serious security threat.”
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show. This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team,” the statement read.
Ella apologized to fans who had planned to attend the sold-out show, explaining that everyone’s safety was her first priority.
According to the Tulsa Police Department, authorities received a phone call Friday morning threatening harm to people attending the concert. The caller reportedly threatened violence involving gunfire and bombs, forcing officers to conduct additional security sweeps of the venue and surrounding area.
Police deployed K-9 units, bomb technicians and patrol officers to search the BOK Center. However, authorities said they found no credible threat and maintained that the venue was safe.
“We could not find anything that would make that a credible threat,” Tulsa Police Department Captain Richard Meulenberg said. “So we advised the concert folks here, not the BOK, but we advised the group here that was going to perform that we could not find a credible threat; we never advised them they should not continue to have their event. They made the decision upon themselves to cancel the event.”
The venue reassured fans that additional information about ticket refunds would be shared as soon as possible.

Ella Explains Her Decision Over The Canceled Oklahoma Show
During her next tour stop in Lubbock, Texas, Ella shared with her fans the tough decision she made to cancel Tulsa’s show.
“I was put in charge of a decision for 15,000 people and I decided to make the decision that I could live with the rest of my life,” Ella said while onstage.
Ella made it clear that no performance was worth putting so many lives at risk. She said that she would make the same choice again if faced with a similar situation, putting the safety of her fans and everyone involved ahead of the show.
“Because while I’m grateful to get to do what I do, it’s not the most important thing in this life,” she continued. “What’s the most important thing in this life is the people around you that love you and that are there for you no matter what.”

Unfortunately, Ella is not the only artist to cancel or interrupt a concert because of security concerns. Back in August 2024, Taylor Swift was forced to cancel three sold-out concerts on her Eras Tour in Vienna, Austria, after authorities uncovered an alleged terrorist plot targeting the events.
Taylor later addressed the cancellation, saying she was thankful that fans were mourning the loss of concerts rather than human lives.
