Ella Langley Drops Highly-Anticipated Sophomore Album “Dandelion”

Ella Langley Began Teasing A New Album In The Fall Of 2025

Ella Langley shot to stardom after the release of her first album, Hungover, which she released in 2024. The album included her chart-topping duet with Riley Green, You Look Like You Love Me.”

The duet won Musical Event of the Year and Video of the Year at the CMA Awards and Single of the Year, Visual Media of the Year, and Music Event of the Year at the ACM Awards. It is also certified 3x Platinum, selling over three million units.

Langley first teased new music from her sophomore album on October 10, 2025, announcing that her single “Choosin’ Texas” would be released on October 17.

The song, which was written by Langley, Miranda Lambert, Joybeth Taylor, and Luke Dick, took the world by storm and is breaking records left and right. Among the records is being the first song by a female artist to simultaneously top the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts.

During the week of her album release, “Choosin’ Texas” returned to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. entering its fifth non-consecutive week at the top of the chart.

She Announced Her Sophomore Album, Dandelion, On January 27th

Announcing the new project, Langley wrote, “So excited to finally announce that my sophomore album ‘Dandelion’ will be out April 10th & the title track is yours this Friday! Welcome to Dandelionland 💛”

She revealed that the album will have a total of 18 tracks and she released the title track, “Dandelion,” on all platforms on January 30th. The 26-year-old described her inspiration behind the name:

“Dandelions are masters of survival, surviving in even the harshest of environments. Often dismissed as a common weed, this unassuming plant carries a deeper symbolism of hope, healing, and resilience.”

On April 2nd, Langley revealed the full track listing of Dandelion and included who worked on each song including writers, musicians, backup vocalists, and producers.

Langley produced all the tracks, alongside Ben West and Miranda Lambert. The singer also co-wrote 14 of the songs.

In the days leading up to the release, Ella shared some behind the scenes footage, including the creation of some harmonies, and the reason she chose to use “Froggy Went A Courtin'” as the intro and outro of the album: her granddaddy.

Ella Finally Releases Dandelion

After months of anticipation, Ella Langley finally released her sophomore album, Dandelion!

Of the release, Langley said, “I’ve never poured myself more into a project, into a song, into an idea. This record has fallen out so beautifully. The people that I’ve gotten to work with on this record are absolutely insane. It kinda takes you back, back home to Alabama, back home to where I started. It’s a thought that came into my head and all of a sudden, it’s real life.”

The album, which was released at 12 AM EST on April 10, is already getting incredible feedback from fans who are anticipating a hot streak for Langley at every awards show next year.

In fact, the album went No. 1 on the Apple Music chart the Tuesday before its release!
