Ella Langley Has Made Music History!
Ella Langley’s song, “Choosin’ Texas” has officially made history!
The massive hit has now spent a record-breaking 23rd week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The milestone puts Ella ahead of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which previously held the record with 22 weeks atop the chart.
“Choosin’ Texas” first landed on the list in November of 2025, becoming her fifth career entry on the chart. The track first hit the number one spot back in February, and fans have clearly been obsessed ever since.
Billboard shared at the time that “Choosin’ Texas” was the first song from a solo female performer primarily known as a country artist to reach #1 on the chart in this decade.
“Choosin’ Texas” was written by Ella, along with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. The song was released in October 2025 as the lead single from Ella’s second studio album, Dandelion.
Country music has made a major impact on the charts this year. On August 3, country songs occupied all five spots in the Billboard Hot 100’s top five, marking the first time the genre had accomplished the feat.
“Choosin’ Texas” led the way at No. 1, followed by Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” at No. 2. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 landed at No. 3, while Ella and Morgan’s duet “I Can’t Love You Anymore” took No. 4. Stella Lefty rounded out the top five with “Boston.”

Ella took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate the major milestone and share her reaction with fans.
The country star shared Billboard’s post, tagging all of the writers behind the track.
“23 weeks,” Ella wrote. “Absolutely insane.”
