Ella Langley’s Guitarist Saves Her From Falling Onstage
It seems like these days, hardly a concert goes by without a fan tossing something onto the stage.
Back in March, Riley Green was struck on the side of the face by a phone thrown from the crowd during a concert in Melbourne, Australia. While he ended up being fine, the impact caused a visible injury, with blood seen running down the side of his neck.
Morgan Wallen has also had his share of flying fan gifts, including a pair of underwear that smacked him in the face and a cellphone that hit him in the chest during separate 2024 concerts.
And on Thursday (September 24), Ella Langley experienced her own dangerous near-fall at her sold-out show in Knoxville, Tennessee.
While performing at Food City Center, a fan in the front row tossed his hat onto the stage. After apparently trying to get Ella’s attention by waving it in the air, the fan eventually threw it toward the singer, with the hat landing just behind her white boots.
Ella initially ignored the interruption as her lead guitarist, Ben Flanders, stepped in to grab the hat. But as he reached down, Ella moved to the side and suddenly stumbled, falling directly into her bandmate.
The guitarist reacted quickly, catching Ella before she could hit the ground while also managing to grab the hat. He then tossed the hat back into the crowd as she turned around laughing off the close call.

The TikTok user who posted the now-viral moment later shared that the fan was “kicked out immediately.” Thankfully, Ella walked away from the ordeal unharmed, while Ben deserves an award for pulling double duty as both her guitarist and bodyguard.
