Rising country star Ella Langley has made the difficult decision to cancel her performances for the rest of August to focus on her health.

The “You Look Like You Love Me” singer has spent her summer on the road for multiple tours, opening for both Riley Green and Morgan Wallen, while still mixing in headlining performances of her own. With multiple shows per week and countless hours of travel in between, it is a demanding schedule that few could maintain.

This morning, Ella made an announcement that she was “so sad” to share. In a post across her social media accounts, the 26-year-old revealed that she has been fighting illness and “feeling more run down than ever.” As a result, she has decided to temporarily take a break from touring and performing. She writes:

“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple weeks off to rest and focus on my health – Mind, body and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”

Ella emphasizes her gratitude for her fans and says that their understanding and love “means the world” to her. She continues:

“Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down.”
