stuck her hand down the right catfish hole
She was noodling in Illinois July 14th, 2019 for flathead catfish when she stuck her hand down the right catfish hole. Noodling in case you don’t know, is when you fish for catfish with your bare hands by putting your hand down a catfish hole and allowing the catfish to bite and swallow your forearm. Once it takes hold, you can pull it out of its hole.
Hannah wrote on her Instagram post: “Caught the fish of a lifetime yesterday ?? No need to hold this big mama out! Plus she was too heavy for me to even try ? Broke my personal best again this year in Illinois”
She became super famous when her video went viral noodling a 30-pound catfish, which shocked many people because the majority tend to see it as a man’s sport. But don’t underestimate Hannah Barron because she can absolutely hang with the best of them.
She added: “We weighed this girl with 2 difference scales because we figured out one was weighing the fish a little low, and the other seemed a little high. One scale said this fish was 61lbs, the other said 76lbs. We split the difference and say it’s 67lbs. What do y’all think it weighs?”
