President Trump Ordered The Release Of The Remaining JFK Files

Following President Donald Trump’s order to release the remaining JFK assassination files, the FBI has uncovered thousands of previously undisclosed documents.

On January 23, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order calling for the declassification of records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (JFK). Trump also called for the declassification of documents connected to the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) and Robert F. Kennedy (RFK).

Trump set a deadline for when he must receive a “plan” for the release of these documents. In JFK’s case, the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General were ordered to present a plan to Trump within 15 days. They have 45 days from the signing of the order to present a plan for the release of the MLK and RFK documents.

JFK was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. The “official” narrative is that he was killed by a lone assailant, Lee Harvey Oswald. Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby shot and killed Oswald two days later.

A large portion of the general public has expressed skepticism that Oswald worked alone. The withholding of files related to JFK’s death has only added to skeptics’ suspicions. They hope once the remaining files go public, we will finally have the full story about the JFK assassination.

FBI Discovers Thousands Of “New” Documents Connected To The JFK Assassination

The deadline for when Trump was supposed to receive the plan to release the JFK files has passed. However, it may be some time before the public sees the files, especially after a recent development.

On Monday (February 10), Axios reported the FBI uncovered 2,400 previously undisclosed files relating to the JFK assassination. Axios claims The FBI discovered these files in a review of 14,000 pages of documents.

The publication claims these records “were never provided to a board tasked with reviewing and disclosing the documents.” Axios reports that the contents of these records remain secret for now.

A report from Fox News adds:

“When the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) submitted its plan to release the JFK files, it reportedly disclosed the existence of the records.”

The FBI also addressed the discovery of these new files. Fox News quotes them as saying:

“The FBI conducted a new records search pursuant to President Trump’s Executive Order issued on January 23, 2025, regarding the declassification of the assassination files of JFK, RFK, and MLK. The search resulted in approximately 2400 newly inventoried and digitized records that were previously unrecognized as related to the JFK assassination case file. The FBI has made the appropriate notifications of the newly discovered documents and is working to transfer them to the National Archives and Records Administration for inclusion in the ongoing declassification process.”

The FBI did not name a date when the documents will be released. Stay tuned for whenever that day comes.
